What Do You Know about Your Condo Board?
It has been said that your condo board is like another level of government. So, it makes sense that as an owner you should think of your board members as politicians.
You should be aware of who is representing you, and what they hope to achieve. As a contributor to your board’s funds, you are entitled to ask about monthly budgets and expenses, as well as the minutes of regular meetings.
Information like this will go a long way toward keeping you informed about how your building is run, and what decisions need to be made in the future. At the very least, take the time to attend your board’s annual meeting to understand who’s serving you, and how they plan to do so in the next year.
